Season Ticket Holders: Do you intend to renew?
I'm seriously considering ditching my season ticket of 30 odd years as I am so despondent right now. The January transfer window was a disgrace and the form this year is of a relegation fodder team.

The club is being run into the ground, with shambolic transfer dealings, a terribly thin, ageing squad, a fraud of a manager and a horrible, grubby little majority shareholder whose sole ambition is to avoid relegation and maximise his money.

And then we have the pathetic "match day experience". An experience that comprises walking through a barren landscape to queue up for 15 minutes to be searched by cretins with their wands, and then be surrounded by day trippers chomping on popcorn in a sterile shit atmosphere, to finally having to queue up after with 'Stop-Go' wankers barricading you in at regular intervals.

I can't be the only one considering jacking it all in as I'm seriously beginning to lose the will and don't want to waste my time and money on the club any more.

31 years for me, 73-85 h & a, only knew the terracing. Returned with kids 2007 and shocked at all seating lack of atmosphere, felt like a american baseball game. It died for me then. Returned for Millwall 2009 more lively but still nothing like the terraces.

My sons are hammers now hopefully they will see us win a few cups like I did. We all had season tickets at the OS for a couple of years went to the first European game there, Chelsea league Cup win was a decent atmosphere, then couldn't stomach it any more after Burnley flag game. Brother still goes every game. I would consider going if Moyes went and a more attacking minded manager came in. Worse football I've ever seen over there with Allardyce not far behind.

I will. I enjoy going. Sunday was very painful but a great reminder of how supporting a club and looking for entertainment are not always the same thing.

Interesting point, but you're not quite right.

It was the same at UP except that we were worth more per STH as they got to keep the food money there.

Re: Season Ticket Holders: Do you intend to renew?
The fact of modern PL football is when you have a season ticket you buy into and support what the owner decides to do with the Sky money as it is now big business. When you are passive and don't moan when things are not to your liking the only thing any sensible business owner will do is stick with what they are serving up as it seems to get no complaints and the money is still rolling in.

"without doubt the capacity is to big allowing to many football neutrals coming".

Who'd have thought it!

Now now don't be silly put you dummy's back and all grow up.

Every football season ticket holder in the world has considered not renewing after a heavy defeat.

We are the club, no owner should change that, to many moaners.

Re: Season Ticket Holders: Do you intend to renew?
That is a disgusting outlook RM10 considering how many left on Sunday.......that didn't happen because of that one result either.....West Ham fans leaving in droves should be a problem if it were a football 'club'.....instead it is a business that doesn't require its supporters according to its businessman owners.....and you blindly back that with your comments below......

Re: Season Ticket Holders: Do you intend to renew?
Perhaps it’s time for the moaning gits to stop going, without doubt the capacity is to big allowing to many football neutrals coming and the pricing is lower compared to other london clubs. To make it a football ground and nearer the pitch, perhaps consider lowering the capacity to 45 to 50k in some way to concentrate the supporters who really want to be there and perhaps a better atmosphere.

Gave mine up the last day at the old girl.
Kept reading about the 10,000+ waiting list so paid my tenner to join (2017, 18?), just for shits and giggles.
Imagine my surprise when a month or two later I started receiving phone calls and emails offering me the opportunity to purchase a new ticket.

As you say, the waiting list is a lie.
If not it's extremely badly administered, although no real surprise there.

Re: Season Ticket Holders: Do you intend to renew?
I gave up my season ticket in 2019. I have not joined any waiting list to get a new one yet I was bombarded with emails (three to be exact) last summer telling me I could get one if I acted quickly.

The waiting list is a fabrication.

Re: Season Ticket Holders: Do you intend to renew?
I remember when we were relegated under Billy Bonds and lots of season tickets were being lobbed into the pitch during the last match of the season. Funnily enough, the majority of those doing the lobbing were back the following season.

Of course. Things were far worse under Grant, for instance and the rest of our post relegation seasons.

Re: Season Ticket Holders: Do you intend to renew?
Yes, I will renew mine and my two kids' tickets. Purely so we can retain points and continue to get away tickets as away days are the one thing I still enjoy.

We very rarely go to home matches now because even for a teenager they recognise how shit it is and aren't bothered about going to home matches most of the time.
